We provide a Biblical mentoring and spiritual care approach that brings the Word of God and opens our hearts to the Holy Spirit to heal and to guide us.
We have been through really dark seasons in our own marriage (see Jon’s Story and Julie’s Story). There’s no judgment. Having had deep struggles and almost wanting to call it quits ourselves, we have personally experienced the pain of our brokenness, but we’ve also experienced the complete restoration in the Holy Spirit. We have great compassion and understanding.
We started our ministry after experiencing our own restoration and the life change that it brought. Our desire is to share that restoration with other people so that they too can experience the freedom and intimacy we’ve found.
Who We Are
We are ordained/licensed Assembly of God pastors and “soul care” mentors, led by the Holy Spirit. We share truths from our (and others) life stories that lead to healing and freedom. Additionally, we have been deeply impacted by others’ teachings and recognize their value in this healing ministry. We are not licensed, professional counselors.
Education +
Ministry History
Jon has a BA in Religion and Philosophy from Northwest University (1986). He was licensed and ordained in the Assemblies of God and ministered for eight years in children’s ministry at two churches in the Northwest. In 1994 his license and ordination were revoked as a result of ministerial discipline (Jon’s Story). In 2021 his licensed was reinstated. Through the years, he has ministered in a variety of volunteer and staff positions at our local church.
Julie attended Northwest University, has pursued a variety of studies, most recently in the area of pastoral counseling and soul care. She has completed courses and received a certificate in biblical counseling through Biblical Counseling Center. In 2023 she completed her ministerial studies through Global University and received her minister’s license through the Assemblies of God.
Our Family + Hobbies
We have four grown kids and seven grandkids. Our family is a major part of what makes everything we’ve gone through to restore our relationship completely worth every painful step, tear-filled moment and daily surrender.
Together we love camping, the outdoors, and pickleball. Jon loves backpacking and fishing in high mountain lakes. Julie enjoys crafting, reading and playing with her grandkids.
Our Story
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” — Luke 4:18-19
